Each Sunday during the winterball season, the 8U, 10U, and 12U teams must pay $33 (in cash, with correct change) to the umpire. Pay the umpire before the start of the first game. The 14U teams may have 2 umpires, in which case, the fee will be $66 ($33 for each umpire). Each umpire will keep $30 for their services and then return the other $3 to the umpires association for an umpire scheduling fee.

Teams in the N.C.W.A league will be require to pay an umpire cancellation fee if they are a last minute no show. A last minute no show is any team that does not cancel by notifying their league winterball representative by email on or before the Wednesday before the scheduled Sunday game. If your team becomes a no show, a representative from your team should notify the other team and the umpire (either at the field or before) that you can not play and your team will have to pay either $66 (for 1 umpire) or $132 (for 2 umpires) by the following Tuesday. If you fail to do either of these, the remaining games for your season, including all your playoff tournament games will be cancelled.
